Oak Brook’s Krusinski Construction begins Medefil Inc.

Oak Brook’s Krusinski Construction Company began construction for Medefil Inc.’s new manufacturing facility in Glendale Heights.

Medefil is a manufacturer of injectable prefilled medication in syringes. The company provides solutions to help improve the productivity, safety, and effectiveness of patient care.

Medefil will retain its existing building in Glendale Heights. The new site under construction is located at 405 Windy Point Drive and is a two-tenant facility. The company will lease the second half of the building and use the remaining 60,000 square-foot space to accommodate its production and packaging of health care products. The new facility design includes a two-story office, executive offices and conference rooms, as well as a 30,000 square-foot mezzanine with clean rooms and quality control labs.

As well as the demo and construction of the new space, Krusinski Construction will coordinate the process hookup for the purified water tanks and other specialty systems. The scope of work also includes a new HVAC and electrical service, backup generators and some minor improvements on the exterior of the building and the site.

Project architect is Charles Vincent George of Naperville and W-T Engineering of Hoffman Estates is the mechanical engineer.
