WACO Asks Community To Share The Warmth

The Woodfield Area Children's Organization is asking everyone to help them collect children's hats, gloves, mittens and scarves. Every fall WACO buys more than 400 new coats for needy preschoolers, and they are hoping to be able to add a little something extra this year.

"They say this winter's going to be especially cold," says WACO Secretary Linda McGill. "So we are counting on the community to help us share the warmth," she added.

There are four locations you can drop off items:

From now through October 19 at both the Walk-In Closet (107 3rd St. #5) and Rooster's Barn & Grill (122 W Lake St.) in Bloomingdale. Then on Friday and Saturday, October 14-15 at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Ct, Schaumburg. And on Wednesday, October 19 at Chicago Prime Steakhouse, 1444 E. Algonquin Rd., Schaumburg.

WACO is a nonprofit serving disadvantaged children since 1979. For more information visit http://www.waco4kids.org/ or contact Linda McGill mcgwilinator@aol.com or 847.209.5513.
