DeVry using technology to reinvent college learning experience

Business Wire

DOWNERS GROVE - DeVry University has developed connected-classroom technology to reinvent the student learning experience.

In one of DeVry's 24 new extended classrooms, students experience a virtual learning community that goes beyond on-campus and online courses, joining together students from campuses across the country.

Using a suite of connected-classroom technologies, the extended classrooms allow students and professors to take part in active learning sessions, complete group projects and interact across extended classrooms, in real time, while at different campus locations.

"DeVry University is leveraging technology to create dynamic, interactive learning experiences that help prepare students for the virtual environments of the modern workplace," said Robert Paul, president of DeVry University. "This reinvented classroom experience will help equip students with the skills to navigate and thrive in today's increasingly virtual and tech-enabled workplace. 1 The extended classroom format instills important virtual collaboration skills and encourages interaction with new tools students are likely to utilize in their professional lives. It's an exciting new way to learn."
