Elderday Center tabs Hewitt as executivce director

Elderday Center in Batavia has named Lori G. Hewitt executive director of the center.

Hewitt will be responsible for implementing the vision, strategic goals and objectives that will lead to organizational growth and development in the community. In addition to leading the daily operations, Hewitt will support the board, direct the staff, build and maintain stakeholder relationships, develop and manage funding strategies and ensure the quality and effectiveness of programs and services. She will also provide direction for all organizational affairs in accordance with Elderday's mission as defined by its by-laws, mission statement, guiding values, principles and policies established and approved by the Board.

Hewitt was previously with CASA Kane County as the director of development and stewardship since 2011, and prior to that was executive director of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce for eight years. She previously worked as vice president for BMO Harris Bank. She has a bachelor of science degree from Barat College in Lake Forest and lives with her husband in St. Charles.
