Xingfa to expand dimethyl sulfoxide business into North America

NAPERVILLE - Hubei Xingfa, the world's largest producer of dimethyl sulfoxide, said it will enter the North American market to meet rising customer demand.

The 20-year-old Chinese company, with its North American operations based in Naperville, develops, produces and markets phosphorus chemicals and fine chemicals, and is regarded as the largest manufacturer of fine phosphates in China, as well as the largest producer of dimethyl sulfoxide in the world.

"Customers across a broad range of vertical markets in North America are demanding a reliable, affordable supply alternative to support their growth initiatives," said J. Bryan Kitchen, president at Xingfa USA. "After careful consideration and planning, we are pleased to launch our DMSO in the North American market this month."

Xingfa employs full integration in the production of DMSO, which is primarily used in the manufacture of microelectronic devices. The company owns 17 phosphate mines, as well as control over the mining operations, numerous hydropower stations, manufacturing sites, and shipping wharves.
