Tenneco names new clean air chief

LAKE FOREST -Tenneco Inc. announced Patrick Guo has been appointed executive vice president and president of the company's global Clean Air business.

Most recently, Guo has been executive vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, where he successfully led growth throughout the region for both the Clean Air and Ride Performance product lines.

Previously, Guo was vice president and managing director, China and played a key role in Tenneco's expansion in the high-growth market. He joined Tenneco in 1996 and has held various leadership positions during his tenure with broad experience in serving both original equipment and aftermarket customers. He began his career as an engineer with the Ford Motor Company.

"I am very pleased to appoint Patrick Guo to lead Tenneco's Clean Air business with his global perspective, extensive industry experience and successful track record of managing operations across diverse markets and regions," said Brian Kesseler, chief operating officer. "I look forward to his leadership as we continue to capture opportunities in our Clean Air product line and drive profitable growth."

Guo replaces Henry Hummel, executive vice president, Clean Air, who is leaving Tenneco to return to the health care industry in a CEO role.

Guo earned a bachelor of science degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, and a master of science degree from the Ohio State University, both in mechanical engineering. He also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.
