VIA honors local manufacturers with Spark Awards

GENEVA - In celebration of its 115th Anniversary and to recognize area manufacturers, the Valley Industrial Association recently hosted their inaugural awards event, The Spark Awards.

The VIA awarded "The Spark" to these outstanding companies to recognize their contributions to manufacturing in the Fox Valley:

• Manufacturing Career Awareness: Custom Aluminum Products, South Elgin

• Product Innovation: Cast Aluminum Solutions, Batavia

• Community Service: United Scrap Metal, Cicero

• Sustainability: Continental Envelope Corp., Geneva

• Safety: Painters USA, Inc., Glendale Heights

• Human Resources: United Scrap Metal, Cicero

The VIA also celebrated legacy members, Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, Inc., Yorkville, Aurora Metals Division, L.L.C., Montgomery, and Richards-Wilcox, Inc., Aurora, which been part of the VIA since its inception.

Established in 1902, the Valley Industrial Association was founded to give area manufacturers and the businesses that serve them a place to connect for professional growth, shared information and common resources that can help operations, and to support causes important to industry. The VIA currently serves more than 230 members.
