The planned Rosemont minor league baseball franchise expected to play ball next year has hired Professional Sports Catering LLC as its as its food and beverage vendor, officials announced Thursday.

Evanston-based Professional Sports Catering, launched in 2007 by CEO Tom Dickson, now has 32 minor league and spring training baseball partnerships. The company has been a subsidiary of Levy Restaurants for the last three years. Levy is the food provider at Wrigley Field, Guaranteed Rate Field, and the United Center.

Construction is underway on a $60 million, 6,300-seat stadium at Balmoral Avenue and the Tri-State Tollway. The still-unnamed team that will play there starting in May 2018 is co-owned by Shawn Hunter and Steven Gluckstern, two corporate sports executives whose Rosemont Entertainment Group will also coordinate non-baseball stadium events.
