Sabathne named to Illinois Partners for Human Service board

Illinois Partners for Human Service has appointed David Sabathne to the board of directors.

Illinois Partners for Human Service is Illinois' largest statewide coalition of over 800 partners, located in every legislative district across the state. Illinois Partners works to develop a collaborative and coordinated approach for creating a more rational system for providing human services, improve the quality of service by developing common agreement around best operating practices of efficiency and effectiveness, and improve support for human services generally by highlighting their value to communities.

Sabathne is President and CEO of the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce and brings more than 20 years of business and not-for-profit organizational management experience. In addition, Sabathne's experience as an elected and appointed public official and background serving on charitable boards and foundations provides valuable insight that will serve Illinois Partners.

"Every area of human services provides a measurable benefit to the Illinois Economy," said Sabathne. "Illinois Partners collaborates with human service organizations to help create efficiencies, accountability, identify new threats, and work toward the most effective solutions. Together their work helps to improve the delivery of these services so that the greatest number of needs are met."
