Gonser Gerber names Shepard senior consultant
Gonser Gerber LLP, a Naperville-based consultants in institutional advancement, has appointed Charlie Shepard as a senior consultant.
Shepard will provide individualized counsel to educational, health care, religious, social service and other nonprofit organizations. His specialty includes developing and strengthening Governing Boards, Foundation Boards, annual, capital, major and planned gift programs, campaign planning and execution, performance metrics, volunteer engagement, strategic planning, public relations, advancement team building, integrated marketing and other aspects of institutional advancement.
He joins the firm after a 16-year career in nonprofit and advancement leadership. Most recently, Charlie served as vice president for institutional advancement at Asbury University in Kentucky, where he led a successful advancement program and was responsible for launching the University's most ambitious comprehensive campaign. Before Asbury University, Shepard served in various roles of increasing responsibility at The University of Findlay in Ohio.
Shepard earned his M.A. from The University of Findlay and his B.A. from Asbury University. He is also a graduate of Harvard University's Management Development Program.
