Publicity Club of Chicago, North Central College to host social media seminar

The Publicity Club of Chicago's suburban group will host a lunchtime seminar on "Effective Blogging and Social Media Ambassadors" on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at North Central College's Madden Lobby (Wentz Concert Hall), 171 E. Chicago Ave. in Naperville.

The event is being held in partnership with North Central College.

Panelists include Rob Manker, digital content specialist and owner of 2100 Media; Don Gingold, co-founder/managing director, Sprocket websites; Dr. Stephen Maynard Caliendo, dean of arts and sciences/political science professor at North Central College; and Leah Rippe, vice president of marketing and communications for Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo.

A boxed lunch for each paid attendee is included. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with registration; noon lunch; program begins at 12:30 p.m. and concludes at 1:45 p.m.

Seating is limited. Early bird discounts apply for tickets purchased before 5 p.m. on Aug. 18. Early bird PCC member rate is $25; the early bird nonmember rate is $35.
