BKD Chicago adds Eley as managing director

Russell Romanelli, managing partner of BKD's Chicago office, announced Rebekuh Eley is joining BKD National Not-for-Profit Group as a managing director in the Chicago office.

Eley has spent her career as a consultant to tax-exempt organizations specializing in private foundations, public charities, hospitals, higher education institutions, trade associations and membership organizations. Her background encompasses corporate, partnership and individual tax.

With a focus on not-for-profit organizations and their for-profit affiliates, Eley's experience covers tax-exempt rules governing excise taxes, unrelated business taxable income, intermediate sanctions, private inurement, lobbying and political activities, information reporting, alternative investments, charitable gifts, tax provision reviews, ASC 740 (FIN 48) documentation and tax controversies.

Eley is a national speaker, providing insight to tax-exempt organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, Illinois CPA Society and Foundation Financial Officers Group. She also serves as a member on the ICPAS Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee, ICPAS Women's Executive Committee, Great Lakes Area TE/GE Council and AICPA Tax Division Exempt Organizations Technical Resource Panel.
