Forum to focus on key suburban business issues

The Daily Herald Media Group and Daily Herald Business Ledger will host a discussion on a number of issues affecting suburban business at the 2017 CEO Forum, on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Schaumburg.

Northern Illinois University's Center for Governmental Studies partnered with Daily Herald Media Group and Business Ledger earlier this year to survey more than 4,000 business leaders and CEOs in Illinois to gather their input on topics that are important to them, including the overall business climate in state, health care and attracting/retaining employees.

A panel of executives will discuss the findings at the event, set to begin at 7:30 a.m. at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 700 National Parkway, Schaumburg.

Panel members include Mary Lynn Fayoumi, president and CEO of the Management Association; Daniel Coman, partner with Ice Miller law firm; Mindy Schneiderman, assistant director of survey research at NIU; Tom Jordan, principal at accounting firm DHJJ; Brian Richard, assistant director for the Center for Governmental Studies; Marty Koehler, vice president of employee benefits at human resources firm Assurance; and Oscar D. Johnson, senior vice president with BMO Harris Bank.

The event will begin with a representative from NIU to discuss the overall results, followed by a moderated panel to discuss industry specific issues and answer audience questions.

The cost is $25 per person and includes a hot breakfast buffet. Reservations are online only at events.dailyherald.com/CEOforum.

Sponsors of the forum are Assurance, BMO Harris Bank, DHJJ CPA, Ice Miller, Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott, Towneplace Suites Marriott, NIU Center for Governmental Studies and Zeigler Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram of Schaumburg.
