CEO at IDEX in Lake Forest named one of the best executives

IDEX Corporation's chairman of the board and CEO Andrew Silvernail has been named as one of the nation's best executives by more than 4,000 investment analysts voted to determine America's top CEOs across 45 industries for the magazine's annual ranking.

Silvernail has been with Lake Forest-based IDEX since 2009. Serving as group president from 2009-2011 and was named CEO in July 2011.

In the past six years with Silvernail as CEO, IDEX's stock price has grown exponentially, the company has continued to diversify its product and financial portfolio, and has fostered a values-based culture.

His experience prior to joining IDEX included positions of increasing general management responsibility at Rexnord, Newell Rubbermaid and Danaher Corporation. Silvernail holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

He was ranked No. 4 on the list of America's 20 Most Powerful CEOs, 40 and under, by Forbes magazine.
