Medline picks Zebra computer
Zebra Technologies Corp. said Tuesday that Medline has chosen Zebra's TC51 touch computer for its warehouse operations as part of an upgrade for its voice-directed picking solution. Zebra Premier Solution Partner, Strategic Mobility Group, helped Medline select the TC51 to improve warehouse picking, increase employee productivity and future proof its enterprise with an Android-based device.
"The TC51 functions like a smartphone with the ruggedness of an industrial device, said Paul Ancona, VP engineering operations at Medline. "That was a critical differentiator for us and makes it easy to deploy across our warehouse branches where we already have seen an increase in productivity. It also offers us Android OS which we wanted to future proof our technology."
Lincolnshire-based Zebra is a specializes in rugged mobile computers, barcode scanners and barcode printers enhanced with software and services to enable real-time enterprise visibility.
"The TC51 has been successful globally because it is built with an industrial design that feels like the most popular consumer-style smartphones but works in the enterprise," said Joe White, senior vice president, enterprise mobile computing at Zebra. "Pairing it with the HS3100 Rugged Bluetooth Headset ensures high-quality voice performance with the power and security Medline needs."
