DMG names Martin chief technology officer

Downers Grove-based DuPage Medical Group announced the addition of Nick Martin as chief technology officer.

Martin will focus on developing DMG's IT strategy, which supports the company's overall plan for leading health care transformation and improvement.

Martin brings more than 15 years of Healthcare IT experience to DMG. As a key leader in the organization, he contributes expertise in application development, infrastructure, analytics and consumer experience. In addition, Martin will provide key guidance and strategic direction across DMG's IT and leadership teams.

Prior to joining DMG, Martin held positions in innovation research and development as well as senior-level IT roles, most recently serving as CIO of UnitedHealth Group's Optum International health IT and services firm.

"I look forward to working closely with Nick as we transform the health care experience for our patients. We have the opportunity to use technology as an enabler to improve health care," said DMG CEO Mike Kasper. "Nick's leadership in this space will allow us to keep pace with innovation happening across our industry, while ensuring both privacy and security of patient data remain top priorities."
