Two suburban properties win regional awards

CHICAGO - Two suburban commercial building were among 12 that won the regional competition of The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award from the North Central Region of the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Windy Point II in Schaumburg won in the 250,000 - 499,999 square feet category. The property is owned and managed by Piedmont Office Realty Trust. Arboretum Lakes in Lisle received the award in the suburban office park (mid-rise) category. The property is owned and managed by Millbrook Properties.

The TOBY Award is the most prestigious and comprehensive award in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing excellence in office building management and operations in specific categories of building size or type. This year, 16 properties competed in 12 TOBY categories from BOMA/Chicago, BOMA Columbus, BOMA Indianapolis, BOMA/Metro Detroit and BOMA/Suburban Chicago.

The regional winners will now proceed to the international competition. International winners will be announced live on June 27 at the TOBY Awards Banquet as part of the BOMA International 2017 Every Building Conference and Expo in Nashville, Tennessee.
