Palatine Road resurfacing project to start Monday
The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to begin a monthslong resurfacing of Palatine Road in Palatine, Arlington Heights and Wheeling on Monday, weather permitting.
The project stretches from Northwest Highway in Palatine to Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling. Palatine Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the daytime hours while work is ongoing.
Officials say motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through the area.
Work is expected to wrap up by November.
