CCU introduces interactive community program

WAUKEGAN - Consumers Credit Union has created "Sharing & Caring," a new program designed to provide a more personal level of outreach and engagement with members.

The spirit of the Sharing & Caring program is to give back to the communities CCU serves by recognizing the acts of kindness demonstrated by those who play an important role in members' lives. CCU kicked off Sharing & Caring in March by acknowledging "Classroom Heroes," recognizing educators who had a profound impact on members, followed by a Mother's Day tribute in May. Next on the schedule is a Father's Day promotion in June, followed by a Future Leaders/"dorm room makeover" event in midsummer, recognizing those heading to college in the fall. Future ideas under consideration are "Worthy Warriors" in conjunction with Veterans Day in November and recognizing "First Responders" in front of the winter holidays in December.

"The primary goal of our new program is to acknowledge the special events and people in our members' communities and in their lives," said Digital Marketing Manager Eric Shriey. "Sharing & Caring provides a platform to honor and celebrate these people and events through our social media channels, consistent with the way people communicate with each other in the digital age."

Winners of Consumers Credit Union's Mother's Day Sharing & Caring promotion can be found on CCU's Facebook page at
