Arlington Heights law firm changes name, reorganizes

A prominent woman-owned law firm in Arlington Heights has announced a name change and leadership reorganization to begin the new year.

Waltz, Palmer & Dawson, launched in 2008, is now known as Navigant Law Group, with founding partner Nichole Waltz transitioning to a private practice.

The rebranded firm is led by Susan Dawson, who heads the firm's business law practice group, and Millie Palmer, who oversees the estate planning group. Four other attorneys are on staff, handling legal services in commercial real estate and employment law, among other areas.

Palmer has been a member of the Northwest Suburban High School District 214 board of education since 2017, and is seeking reelection among a crowded field of candidates in April. Dawson serves as an appointed member of the Arlington Heights plan commission, which reviews development proposals in town.

Their firm relocated to an office building at 3030 Salt Creek Lane, located west of Arlington International Racecourse, in August. It was a short move from 3701 Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows.

"It has always been our goal to provide legal advice that addresses the specific needs of each client and chart a course toward satisfaction and resolution of issues, whether it is for their business or personal needs," Palmer said in a news release. "We feel that with our new structure, name and location, we are well-prepared to help clients as they seek stability in 2021 after a very difficult 2020."
