Fayoumi earns Woman of Influence HR award

CHICAGO - Mary Lynn Fayoumi, president and CEO of HR Source in Chicago, has been named 2021 recipient of the Woman of Influence Award, presented by the Association Forum.

This honor is awarded to trailblazers in the Human Resources industry who have demonstrated with excellence a proven track record of innovation, impact and paying it forward through coaching, mentoring and service to others.

Fayoumi was presented the award at the ninth annual Women's Executive Forum on Wednesday, which was held virtually. She also served as a keynote speaker, offering reflections on her career as well as advice for other women. The Women's Executive Forum is an annual assembly of female association CEOs, C-Suite executives and emerging leaders designed to facilitate candid conversations around specific challenges and opportunities.

Fayoumi is a highly respected speaker, trainer and adviser, as well as an authority on workplace issues such as culture, employment trends and HR management. HR Source is a Chicago-based employers' association with more than 1,100 member organizations. Countless organizations and their employees have benefited from her expertise during her years at the association.

"Through her many leadership roles, she has been a changemaker in the industry and has helped to shape the association community into what it is today," says Michelle Mason, president and CEO, Association Forum.

Fayoumi now serves on the World at Work board of directors and is past chair of the board of directors for both the Association Forum and the Employer Associations of America. She is also an Advisory Board member of the Community Memorial Foundation. Last year, Fayoumi was honored by Crain's Chicago Business as a Notable Leader in HR.

"I am so honored to receive this award," says Fayoumi. "It's so nice to be recognized by an industry that I've learned so much from and received so much from, but also, you know, done my best to give back wherever I could."
