The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Talk of the Town Toastmasters with Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke, Toastmasters Club President, Noel Ganay, and other club and business representatives. Talk of the Town Toastmasters helps members improve their public speaking skills. Toastmasters meets weekly at the Town Hall Center Meeting Room at The Holmstad, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.
NWSRA opened its new recreational programming space and accessible ramp for individuals with disabilities at the Hanover Park Park District Community Center. Executives from Wauconda-based Synergy Flavors recently broke ground on a new corporate campus building. The new building is scheduled for completion by June 2018 and will allow for an expected campus growth of an additional 300 employees over the next few years.
Wayne Paprocki, right, instructor for Your House Academy's real estate licensing programs, was named Educator of the Year by the Association of Illinois Real Estate Educators. The award gives Bloomingdale-based Your House Academy the unique distinction of having three of its educators receive the award in three consecutive years.
