Northwest Suburban Bar Association fundraiser at Arlington Park

Members of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, including attorneys, judges and honored guests, will gather at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at Arlington Park racetrack for an afternoon of thoroughbred racing - and raising money for scholarships for aspiring lawyers.

Sponsored by the bar association's foundation board, the event will take place in the Million Room. Guests will dine indoors, overlooking the track, while having access to outdoor stadium seats to get closer to the action.

They invite members of the public to join them. Tickets are $50 each and will include two food items and two drinks, and the chance to mingle with members of the local legal community.

The foundation is the charitable arm of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.

The scholarship is available to law school students attending an accredited Illinois law school who reside in the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division - it includes Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Will, Kendall, Grundy and LaSalle counties --- and who have demonstrated a commitment to the highest scholastic standards.

Members of the bar association maintain a scholarship in the name of the Hon. Timothy C. Evans, chief judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

For tickets or sponsorship information, call the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, at (847) 621-2378, or visit: https://www.nwsba.org.
