Three new restaurants coming to Northwest Highway corridor in Palatine

Palatine is on its way to getting three new Asian restaurants in the Northwest Highway corridor.

Village council members Monday night granted special-use permits allowing Takumi Japanese Homemade Curry and Tonkotsu Ramen Benkei Japan to open in vacant spaces at Palatine Centre on Northwest Highway, between Smith and Benton streets.

Fortune Noodles received village council approval last week to open in the Century Plaza Center on Northwest Highway, just west of Palatine Centre.

At Palatine Centre, Takumi will serve curries such as chicken, pork, beef and seafood. Tonkotsu Ramen Benkei Japan will have a menu including creamy pork and vegetable soups.

Manny Rafidia, who owns Century Plaza Center and Portofino's Woodfire Pizza and Pasta there, will open Fortune Noodles in space last occupied by True Woods Cabinetry. Fortune Noodles' menu will include egg rolls, Hunan spicy chicken, Mongolian beef, pork chop suey and sesame shrimp.
