Great Western Flooring expands in Naperville

Great Western Flooring moved its design center three blocks south to the heart of downtown Naperville.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, the business opened its new flagship store in The Washington, located between 7th and 8th avenues, where it is the primary occupant.

Conceived from the ground up, the new design center features an expanded showroom and occupies the majority of the 8,000 square feet of the building's street level retail space.

Great Western Flooring is a family-owned and -operated business, with Lauren Voit, president, and Dana Park, vice president - daughters of the original owner and founder - now at the helm. The company serves homeowners as well as builders and other corporate clients. The new Naperville Design Center will offer an expanded collection of forward-thinking finishes on display in its showroom.

"Our Naperville Design Center was imagined to create a more intentional shopping experience," Park said. "Our focus for this space was to create an enhanced experience that our designers and salespeople can curate and guide our customers through."

Working in the showroom, the design consultants at Great Western Flooring, offer designs in bath or kitchen and hardwood or composite flooring designs for other residential rooms or commercial spaces.

Great Western Flooring began in 1981 by serving residential customers as The Great Western Tile Company, but soon expanded to include other flooring materials and an expanded clientele. The company has two other locations in St. Charles and Oswego. Design Consultants are always available in each store to schedule a free consultation.
