CHICAGO -- During the month of February, Hooters restaurants will donate one-third of all chicken wing sales on Tuesdays to Holy Family School in the Homan Sqaure neighborhood in Chicago.
The Hooters Wings for the Kids Program started in Chicagoland in 1992 and has since raised more than $680,000 for Holy Family School. The money raised funds tuition, technology and books for underprivileged children in the community.
Hooters restaurants locations participating in the fundraiser include Countryside, Downers Grove, Aurora, Gurnee, Joliet, Lansing, Melrose Park, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Chicago (O'Hare), Chicago (Wells Street) and Schaumburg.
Established in 1985, Holy Family provides a learning environment that nurtures intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth for students Kindergarten -- eighth. On average, money donated by Chicagoland Hooters restaurants enables eight children to receive a first-class education at Holy Family School each year.
