Firm rebrands to Northwestern Mutual - Greater Chicago

The North Shore-based Goris Financial Group of Northwestern Mutual announced the re-branding of its agency from Northwestern Mutual — North Shore to Northwestern Mutual — Greater Chicago.

“This rebranding clarifies who we are to those we serve, which includes individuals and businesses in the greater Chicago area, with offices in Lombard, Vernon Hills, Elgin, Skokie in the North Shore, and downtown in Chicago's West Loop,” said Tom Goris Jr., managing partner of Northwestern Mutual — Greater Chicago.

The Northwestern Mutual — Greater Chicago office has a history in the greater Chicago area and boasts a long list of advisors, including John O. Todd, Sr., who created the first non-qualified executive benefit plan in 1957, and Alan Nero, sports agent and current managing director for the baseball division of Octagon, a global baseball placement agency. Nero is credited with developing innovative ways to insure athletes and help them bridge the financial gap between team assignments.

“Our network office has a big history behind our new big name,” said Goris. “We continue to grow and are recruiting financial representatives that go on to build distinguished careers to impact clients and the communities they serve.“
