Fortune Brands appoints two executives

DEERFIELD - Fortune Brands Home & Security named Nicholas Fink as president and chief operating officer of Fortune Brands, and Cheri Phyfer as president of Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group.

Fink will focus on driving the businesses and identifying opportunities to maximize growth potential in a backdrop of a more moderate home products market, according to Fortune Brands CEO Christopher Klein, who Fink will report to.

The three presidents of the Plumbing, Cabinets, and Doors & Security divisions will report to Fink.

Fink joined Fortune Brands in 2015 to lead the Global Growth & Development team until August 2016, when he became the president of the newly-formed Global Plumbing Group. Since its inception and under Fink's leadership, the GPG has grown into a multibrand, geography and channel business that acquired five brands, established several key strategic partnerships, accelerated new product development and relaunched the core Moen brand.

Phyfer will succeed Fink, and be responsible for driving above-market growth. She will continue building strong, iconic brands while bringing innovation into the market through acquisitions and strategic partnerships that drive continued market outperformance.

Phyfer joined the GPG in 2018 as president, U.S. Businesses, and was most recently president, GPG Americas. She came to the GPG from The Sherwin-Williams Company. During her 20-year career there, she ran two of the company's largest store divisions prior to serving as president, Consumer Brands Group.
