GameWorks Schaumburg unveils esports lounge

SCHAUMBURG - GameWorks Schaumburg is opening its Esports Lounge, unveiling what is now the newest, dedicated esports site locally.

GameWorks Schaumburg's new esports Lounge features 20 Alienware gaming PC's with 25-inch monitors at 240Hz refresh rate, HyperX Cloud Alpha headsets, Cougar Armor Titan chairs and Alienware mechanical keyboards and gaming mice, more than 25 console gaming options including: PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Wii U; and more than 100 gaming titles from which gamers can choose.

"Our new esports Lounge completes the full entertainment offering guests will find here at GameWorks Schaumburg," said GameWorks Chief Executive Officer Philip N. Kaplan. "We expect our new eSsports Lounge to be very well received, due to the increasing global popularity of esports."

The new GameWorks Schaumburg esports Lounge as well as the entire venue can be rented privately for events, such as local tournaments and birthday or corporate parties, as well as youth group or school overnight lock-ins, just to name a few.
