Central DuPage Hospital opens Joint Preservation Center

WARRENVILLE - Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group has launched a new Hip and Knee Joint Preservation Center at Central DuPage Hospital.

Led by orthopedic sports medicine surgeons Brian Chilelli M.D. and Sanjeev Bhatia M.D., the center is focused on delaying or avoiding joint replacement surgery by offering nonsurgical and minimally-invasive surgical options for deteriorating joints.

"A joint replacement should be the last option for joint pain. Emerging treatments such as orthobiologics, advanced hip arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, meniscus transplantation, and osteotomy techniques can help adults and adolescents with pre-arthritic conditions regain full function," said Chilelli.

The center is also engaged in research and education efforts to advance the understanding of hip and joint preservation, sports medicine, and orthopedic wellness.

The Northwestern Medicine Hip and Knee Joint Preservation Center is at 27650 Ferry Road in Warrenville with surgeries being performed at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
