HM Manufacturing president receives honor

WAUCONDA - HM Manufacturing President and CEO Nicole Wolter was named a 2019 Step Ahead Awards honoree by The Manufacturing Institute.

As a part of the STEP Ahead Initiative, the award honors the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering, and production careers, both in their industries and their communities.

Wolter was recognized for her work guiding HM Manufacturing's recovery from financial hardship. Under her leadership, the company has invested in new technologies and processes, machinery, an ERP system, employee training, and marketing to greatly grow the company. Additionally, as a member of the McHenry High School Advisory Board, Wolter mentors and educates local high school students on the opportunities and benefits of careers in manufacturing.
