Code school marks first anniversary with event

HIGHLAND PARK - TheCoderSchool North Shore will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with a Coder Fair event from 2-4 p.m. May 4 at its downtown Highland Park location, 1929 Sheridan Road.

The celebration will kick off with an introduction to the school's unique approach to coding education, as well as sharing the past year's highlights with project demonstrations from current students. Attendees will have the opportunity to play “BREAK_THE_CODE,” a game created by the school's Code Coaches. Winners will receive one free first month of Code Coaching.

A key differentiation from other local coding schools, theCoderSchool exposes kids to real-life coding programs such as Python, Scratch and Java, preparing them for a hands-on approach to real, world coding.

“Our one-year anniversary is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our amazing students, open up theCoderSchool to the local community, and answer any questions on how families can join our inclusive coding community,” notes Chad Kreindler, one of the co-owners.
