Edward-Elmhurst leases space to consolidate operations

Edward-Elmhurst Health has leased space at the former Navistar headquarters building in Warrenville, where it will relocate its corporate operations.

The health care agency finalized its lease for 188,000 square feet in the building at 4201 Winfield Road, according to commercial real estate firm CBRE, which represented Edward-Elmhurst Health in the negotiations.

As part of the move, Edward-Elmhurst will do a significant interior build out for a design that will include an open floor plan. Whitney Architects has been retained as the architect and Executive Construction Inc. will complete the build out.

When work is completed in November, the company will move corporate operations from two existing locations, 855 Church St. in Elmhurst and 2755 Diehl Road in Warrenville.

Created by the merger of Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare in 2013, the company includes Edward Hospital in Naperville. Elmhurst Hospital and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health.

"This is an amazing opportunity for Edward-Elmhurst to reposition itself and create an environment that will assure the attraction and retention of top quality employees," said CBRE's David Justh, who represented Edward-Elmhurst Health in the transaction.

Jeff Shay and Lyle Patterson of JLL represented the building's owners in the transaction.
