Hey Nonny names Gore general manager

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Music venue and bistro Hey Nonny has appointed Fred Gore general manager.

Gore brings 20 years of hospitality industry experience to Hey Nonny. He began his career with Ella Brennan as a food-runner at Commander's Palace in New Orleans. Within four years he rose through the business to become Operations Manager. In 1998, Gore was asked to open the Commander's Palace in Las Vegas. During Gore's term at Commanders, the establishment won two James Beard awards, being recognized for service and best chef.

In recent years, Gore has been in the Chicago dining community, working with Levy Restaurants as general manager of Bistro 110 and Gibson's Steakhouse. Most recently, Gore oversaw the creation of the Pete Miller's Steak and Seafood in Naperville, which carried on the chain's tradition of presenting live music seven nights a week.

Gore has begun working with Hey Nonny Executive Chef Jay Ruff on revised brunch and dinner menus that will debut in June.
