Atlantic Plywood expands into Midwest

BATAVIA - Atlantic Plywood, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Parksite, is expanding its product mix into the Midwest, the company announced Monday.

Parksite acquired Atlantic Plywood Corp., a distributor of industrial wood products and accessories in the Northeastern U.S., in 2018. Parksite's 125,000 square foot Bolingbrook distribution facility will offer all of Atlantic Plywood's product mix, which includes Columbia Forest Products, ATI Decorative Laminates, Rehau, Knape & Vogt, Century components, and Mirka abrasives. Sales associates will have the ability to cross sell products to existing customers and develop relationships with new customers.

"We consider this new location a monumental step in our growth," said Marty Wojick, vice president of sales for Atlantic Plywood, "We are confident we can expand the business model we have created over the last 45 years to a new customer base in the Midwest."

Parksite's facility currently offers the Surfaces and LBM product lines including Corian Quartz, Corian Solid Surfaces, DuPont Tyvek, Deckorators, Crown Column and Versatex Trimboards.

"Creating one company to deliver product solutions from industrial wood products, to premium surfacing materials to specialty building products will provide customers an unmatched resource in our markets", stated Ron Heitzman, CEO of Parksite Inc. "This is the first of our planned expansions throughout our territories."
