MichaelSilver names Waterloo partner

Skokie-based accounting services firm MichaelSilver has appointed Susan Waterloo, CPA, as partner.

Waterloo has been with MichaelSilver for over 20 years. Prior to joining the firm, she spent nine years as a tax manager and senior auditor at a "Big Four" firm, working primarily in the real estate syndication industry, as well as on professional services partnerships and their owners.

With more than 25 years of complex experience, Waterloo focuses on a consultative approach to understanding her clients' needs and providing appropriate compliance services, tax strategies, and planning. She works primarily with high net worth, multigenerational family groups involved in active businesses, investment and real estate partnerships, trusts, and private foundations. In addition, she has extensive experience representing clients (both individual and business) in IRS examinations, penalty abatements, protests and formal appeals, including success at the IRS National Office level. She also serves on the firm's automobile dealership committee.

"Susan consistently excels in terms of exceptional service, her contribution to the firm's growth, and expert knowledge," said Larry Isaacson, managing partner. "She plays a key role in delivery of the highest quality service to our clients. We are honored to welcome her to the Partner team and look forward to her ongoing contributions."
