Great Lakes Credit Union names four new executives

Great Lakes Credit Union announced it has made four new appointments in its executive ranks.

The Bannockburn-based credit union has promoted Fred Campobasso to chief lending officer, Christopher Visocnik to vice president of information technology, and Jody Larabee as senior manager of organizational development. The credit union also hired Ralph Czechowski as vice president of retail.

Campobasso has been the vice president of consumer lending at GLCU since 2017. Prior to that, he spent over 12-years in a variety of roles in consumer and mortgage lending, and call center sales and service. He holds a Master Certificate in Strategy and Execution from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Visocnik has over 22-years of experience in information technology with 15-years of IT management in the financial services industry, including GLCU. He has expertise in information security, enterprise architecture and data center infrastructure. Mr. Visocnik holds a degree in Project Management from Lake Forest School of Management, received certificates from the American Management Association for Managing IT & Technical Professionals; CISCO CCNA, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE and attended DeVry Institute of Technology and is seeking his certified information manager designation.

In the newly created position, Larabee will lead the credit union's efforts to enhance learning and development for all employee-owners in order to provide exceptional member service. She has 25-years of service to GLCU, serving in many capacities during her tenure including leading the call center, operations, branch management, loan sales, and member services. She is a certified trainer for business development sales training, a past graduate of the CUNA Management School and holds a Project management certificate from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Czechowski will develop GLCU's long-term retail strategy, execute that strategy and lead its retail delivery channel. He came from TCF National Bank, where he held numerous roles in retail banking, consumer lending and business development. He was selected for TCFs Emerging Leader Program, working closely with executive management on organizational change and branding deployment. He holds a Master of Business Administration Graduate Degree from Robert Morris University.

GLCU has about $870 million in assets and serves 80,000 members through 12 locations.
