DuPage Children's Museum names new CEO
NAPERVILLE - Andrea Ingram has been named President and CEO of DuPage Children's Museum, effective Nov. 4.
She joins DuPage Children's Museum after serving for 13 years as vice president of education and guest services at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. She was responsible for all aspects of the museum's guest experience as well as programs that inspire and motivate youth. During her tenure, she developed the nationally recognized "Welcome to Science Initiative," a $10.5 million annual investment in science education designed to remove barriers that prevent underserved and underrepresented youth from achieving their full potential in science and engineering.
Previously, she served as chief of strategic partnerships and information for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, where she managed and built partnerships across communities and stakeholders and streamlined systems for children in state care to access the services and programs they need. Prior to DCFS, Ingram acted as director of budget and tax policy for Voices for Illinois Children, and served as a partner and business trial attorney at the law firm of Rosenblum, Parish & Issacs.
Ingram earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The American University. She is a board of trustees member and past chair of Heartland Human Care Services.
She succeeds Sarah Orleans, who announced her retirement earlier this year.
