Self-service alcohol taps open in Rosemont mall

Tapville Social, a self-service beer, wine and cider dispensary, officially opened Monday in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall in Rosemont.

Located in the first-floor food court, the business allows patrons to insert "Pour Pass" cards into tap machines that dispense alcohol by the ounce. Guests can bring their drinks with them throughout the shopping center and into select stores, making the mall the first in the suburbs to allow alcoholic beverages throughout its common areas, officials said.

The brand is a franchise of the Red Arrow Tap Room, which opened locations in Elmhurst in 2017 and Naperville in 2018.
