Galligan joins Ice Miller's Business Group

Ice Miller announced Vanja Galligan recently joined the law firm's Business Group.

She will represent clients in a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance. Galligan drafts and negotiates primary and ancillary transaction documents, including stock and asset purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, operating agreements and shareholder agreements.

She advises clients on securities law compliance, including Blue Sky Laws, and prepares SEC and state filings related to securities offerings. In addition, Galligan represents borrowers and lenders in commercial finance transactions, drafting and negotiating loan documents, such as loan and security agreements, notes, guarantees and pledge agreements.

"Vanja has a wide range of business law experience ranging from private equity and corporate governance to securities compliance and commercial finance transactions," said Steve Humke, chief managing partner of Ice Miller. "She is a welcome addition to the Firm's Business Group and will be an asset to our clients."

She earned her juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law with a certificate in intellectual property. During law school, she volunteered with Cabrini Green Legal Aid at the expungement help desk and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Terrence J. Lavin.
