He plans to tackle industry issues and challenges through developing best practice guidelines and industry-specific educational trainings. In addition, the Association supports a generous scholarship fund, and during his time as president, Sand and the board of directors anticipate enriching the fund and its benefits to members and their families.

Sand is a vice president at Assurance with over 17 years of business insurance experience. Over the past seven years, he's developed a deep understanding for the transportation industry, especially in the intermodal auto insurance field across the United States.
