City Electric Supply opens in McHenry

MCHENRY - City Electric Supply has opened its newest branch in McHenry after nearly a year of preparation.

CES chose a 75-year-old building that was once a lumberyard in the center of town. Branch Manager Dan Mahan, District Manager Steven Zank and Vice President of Operations Jamie Marujo took close to four months to sign the contract, get in the door and tear down some walls in the building that was vacant for 25 years.

McHenry has three large industrial parks and many local electricians, making it a great location for a mix of commercial, residential and industrial customers.

The Dallas, Texas-based company was founded in 1951 in the United Kingdom and expanded to the United States in 1983. Today, CES employs more than 3,000 people in over 500 branches across the U.S.
