New senior living community coming to Elgin

ELGIN - New Perspective is building a new senior living community in Elgin as part of the company's expansion.

New Perspective - Elgin will be a four-story structure near the intersection of South Randall Road and South Street. The community will provide independent living, assisted living and Betty's Harbor, a secure neighborhood specifically designed for those with memory loss.

The facility will offer amenities such as a fitness center with equipment specifically designed for the older adult exercise and an indoor, warm-water pool. Residents will have plenty of dining choices, including a restaurant-style dining room with grand fireplace, a cafe and pub. Other amenities include a movie theater and dance hall.
