CRYSTAL LAKE - AptarGroup Inc. has been named one of Barron's 100 Most Sustainable Companies in America.

Aptar is number 48 on the top 100 list for 2020, and it is the second time Aptar has been included on the list.

It is the third year Barron's has published its list of companies with the highest environmental, social and governance scores. The Calvert Research and Management firm evaluated the 1,000 largest publicly held companies by market capitalization and ranked them in five key categories: shareholders, employees, customers, community and planet.

"We believe that strong governance and responsible behavior are essential to long-term success and we continue to pursue an inclusive workplace, embrace climate-focused practices and further a circular economy where plastic is reused and recycled," said Stephan Tanda, Aptar President and CEO.
