Allstate January catastrophe losses at $58M

NORTHBROOK - The Allstate Corp. estimated catastrophe losses for the month of January were $58 million.

January losses comprised four events at an estimated cost of $64 million, pretax, but were partially offset by lower re-estimates from previous periods, the company said.

Allstate provides monthly catastrophe loss reports when they exceed $150 million during the period.
