Mount Prospect company donates supply of face masks

A Mount Prospect-based manufacturer has reached out in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inter-Continental Trading USA Inc. donated 100,000 face masks to help first responders.

"We've been committed to the health, security and safety of our employees, partners and clients from the start of the pandemic," said Shargio Patel, president of the company, which manufactures tobacco products and roll-your-own accessories. "After seeing the hardships our front line responders are dealing with, we knew we had to do more."

Inter-Continental has distributed masks to emergency management teams and fire departments in Mount Prospect, Elk Grove, Rolling Meadows, Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.
