RAM Communications marks 20th anniversary

DES PLAINES - RAM Communications is celebrating 20 years of success and looking ahead at the years to come.

Company founder and owner Rob McCoy started the telecommunications service business as a one-man operation. Today, RAM Communications has clients across 26 states and partnerships with leading providers Masergy, Access One and TPX Communications.

RAM Communications connects its clients and defends them against online threats. The company is currently helping businesses with migration plans and disaster recovery solutions. It serves businesses in all industries and sizes ranging from 50 to 2,000 employees. It also provides cybersecurity solutions for businesses of all sizes.

McCoy credits RAM Communications' success primarily to a culture of integrity.

"Even now, 20 years later, when I'm making a decision for something as small as helping somebody set up two phones and an internet connection, I'm hemming and hawing on how to get them the best possible recommendation or solution," he said. "I've sacrificed so much money refusing to sell things my clients don't need."
