Meridian completes construction on two Elgin spec buildings

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on two speculative industrial buildings for Scannell Properties at 2451 Bath Road and 1755 Britannia Drive in Elgin.

The projects are located within Elgin's west side industrial corridor, less than a mile from the 4-way interchange at I-90 and Randall Road.

The 36-foot clear, 325,020 square foot building on Bath Road includes 4 drive in doors, 367 auto parking spaces, and 56 trailer parking stalls. The cross docked building accommodates up to 70 loading dock positions and can be sub-divided to accommodate multiple tenants.

The 32-foot clear, 80,400 square foot building on Britannia Drive includes 2 drive in doors, and 93 auto parking spaces. The building was designed to accommodate up to 19 loading docks and as many as three tenants.

Architectural services were provided by Paul Woody Architect. Civil engineering services were provided by Manhard Consulting. Kenneth Franzese and John Cassidy of Lee & Associates are marketing the buildings for Scannell.
