Associated Agencies acquires the Bensman Group

ROLLING MEADOWS - Associated Agencies Inc., an insurance and risk management firm based in Rolling Meadows, Monday announced the acquisition of Bensman Risk Management Inc. and Bensman Associates Ltd., a Bannockburn-based insurance, risk management and strategic planning group led by CEO Bob Bensman.

Associated and its individual insurance businesses will work with the Bensman Group to further develop a premier high-net-worth individual insurance and risk advisory practice, the company said.

Bensman began The Bensman Group in 1976. Bensman will continue as CEO of the group, now a division of Associated Insurance and Risk Management Advisors.

"Associated and the Bensman Group have a rich history of supporting individuals, families and businesses. After working collaboratively with a number of clients over the past 30 years, we recognized it was time to join forces," said Josh Herz, president of Associated Agencies.
