Northwestern Medicine to open dermatology clinic in Geneva

GENEVA - Northwestern Medicine will open a new dermatology clinic in the Geneva historic district Oct. 26 to offer the latest in cosmetic dermatology, as well as medical and surgical dermatology services, such as treatment for skin cancer.

The practice will be the first at Northwestern Medicine to offer CoolSculpting, a nonsurgical fat reduction technique that has grown in popularity, the medical group said. Located in a remodeled former bank building at 25 N. 3rd St. in Geneva, the clinic will have a spalike feel and state-of-the-art laser technology. Available cosmetic services include laser treatments, injectables and HydraFacial.

Dermatologist Jill Cotseones, who trained in cosmetic and laser surgery at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California, will lead the practice. "Noninvasive cosmetic procedures have taken off in the past 10 to 15 years, with new technology allowing people to rejuvenate aspects of their appearance," Cotseones said.
